Hello J.W. Leary families!

I'd like to introduce myself as the new J.W. Leary Jr. High Principal. I am eager to meet each and every one of you as we learn and grow together. My goals for us all this year are that we respect one another and ourselves in every situation, and that we bring our best at all times.

School means different things to different people. One part of my job is to make our school a place where each student and parent/guardian feels valued and heard, where we feel safe, and where there are inclusive opportunities for connection and belonging that reach all learners. When these conditions are met, we have set the stage for academic curiosity to bloom and optimal learning to be achieved.

I truly believe that every middle schooler has enormous potential. I want to work together to continue strengthening the home/school relationship so that we can support our students as they reach this potential and as they prepare to meet today’s goals and tomorrow’s opportunities. Establishing open, two-way communication is one of the most important strategies we can utilize to do this.
